Ross Kenseth Wins First Feature at MIS
Haseleu, Kalbus, Ace and Wood Also Winners

Friday, August 8, 2008-- Fifteen year old Ross Kenseth of Spring Valley, Illinois won his first-ever feature at Madison International Speedway tonight by winning the 40 lap feature for the Rockweiler Insulation Limited Late Models on JP Cullen and Sons Night. Other feature winners included Nathan Haseleu in the Weaver Auto Parts Super Late Models, Jay Kalbus in the Bryden Motors Area Sportsman, Chester Ace in the Roto Rooter Bandits, and John Wood in the USST Super Trucks.

An Award Winning Night at MIS

Monday, August 7, 2008 (Oregon, WI)-- For twelve high school students it was truly an award-winning night at Madison International Speedway (MIS) in Oregon, Wisconsin, as nearly $200,000 in scholarships to Ohio Technical College in Cleveland, Ohio, were presented to them this past Friday night as part of the Speedway Educational Series (formerly the ASA Educational Series).

Haseleu and Neville Pick Up Wins in Super Late Twin 50's

Nathan Haseleu and Nick Neville each picked up a win in the Weaver Auto Parts Super Late Model Twin 50's tonight at Madison International Speedway in front of a large crowd on Laborer's Union Local 464 Night. Powered by a first and third place finish, Haseleu won the overall title and collected an additional $500 to make his night worth $2000. Bret Schmidt (Bryden Motors Area Sportsman), Chester Ace (Roto Rooter Bandits), Max McNamara (Pellitteri Waste Systems Legends), Jimmy Robinson (Hobby Stocks), and Caylie Duncanson (Bandoleros) also took home checkered flags. John Beinlich won the Allison Legacy exhibition race.

Robbie Pyle wins Mayor of Madison 100

Robbie Pyle of Columbus, Ohio, won the Mayor of Madison 100 for the ASA Late Model Series Northern Division at Madison International Speedway. For Pyle it marked back to back victories at MIS as he also won the series event in 2007.

Chris Loberg Sprints to Grand National Vintage Series Victory

Chris Loberg of Menominie, Wisconsin, won the twelve lap feature for the Grand National Vintage Racing Series.

Twelve cars took the green flag with the Dodge Charger of Mark Freund taking the early lead. Freund's lead would be short-lived as Jamie Schmidt would pass him coming down the backstretch on the second lap.

Bulletin - Carburetor RULE CHANGE

Holley 650 CFM Crate Motor Carb Rule Clarification: The use of any type epoxy on the Holley 650 CFM 4150 HP carburetor, part number 80541-1 is prohibited. This clarification will be effective on Friday, August 1st, 2008. This will pertain to any crate motor car, running in any of our divisions.

Scott Broughton Wins Rockweiler Insulation Limited Late Model 50

Scott Broughton won the 50 lap feature for the Rockweiler Insulation Limited Late Models as part of Clear Channel / Pomp's Tire Night at Madison International Speedway. Chester Ace won the Roto Rooter Bandit feature with Max McNamara (Pellitteri Waste Systems Legends), Tory Bagley (Bryden Motors Area Sportsman), and Kyle Stark (Hobby Stocks) also picking up checkered flags.

Haseleu Edges Rubeck in Construction Labor Management 50

Fans were treated to one of the closest finishes ever at Madison International Speedway when Nathan Haseleu edged Steve Rubeck at the line to win the Construction Labor Management 50 for the Weaver Auto Parts Super Late Models. Six other divisions were also in action with Bret Schmidt, Chester Ace, Max McNamara, Randy Nottestad, Rodney Mundt, and Caylie Duncanson claiming victories.

Todd Welsing of Denmark, Wis., made the most of his first-ever visit to Madison International Speedway by winning the 300 lap four cylinder enduro as part of the Night of Thrills.

Wilberg Back Home in Victory Lane at MIS

Rubeck, Kalbus, Scheel, and Arelano Take Home Checkered Flags

Great racing combined with an incredible fireworks show made the Boucher Group Night a memorable experience for all involved at Madison International Speedway. A great crowd was on hand to see racing in all five weekly divisions along with the annual fireworks extravaganza presented by Thunder Cat.

Defending champion Bobby Wilberg was back home in victory lane for the first time in 2008 after taking top honors in the 40 lap feature for the Rockweiler Insulation Limited Late Models. Steve Rubeck in the Weaver Auto Parts Super Late Models, Jay Kalbus in the Bryden Motors Area Sportsman, Stephen Scheel in the Roto Rooter Bandits, and Alex Arelano in the Pellitteri Waste Systems Legends were also winners.
