Badger State Tractor Pullers Coming to MIS Oregon, WI (Monday, May 12, 2008) Something new will be taking place this weekend when the Badger State Tractor Pullers come to Madison International Speedway for their first-ever appearance. Exciting pulling action is set for Saturday, May 17th at 7:00 PM with tractors and trucks competing in four divisions. Tractor pulling action takes place in Pro Stock and Super Farm tractors with 4x4 Stock and 4x4 Stock Diesel Trucks also in action. So how does a paved asphalt track host a tractor pulling event? We are hauling in a lot of dirt and putting it on the pit lane from turn four down the front stretch, said MIS General Manager Dave Grueneberg. It's going to be a big job getting everything in place, but we're looking to try new things and this is definitely something new. This will be the first of two tractor pulling events at MIS in 2008. On September 12-13 the Lucas Oil Pro Pullers will be at MIS for their national championship event. These guys are part of a national series and we will have competitors from all over the United States in September, added Grueneberg. Due to the tractor pull there will be no weekly racing on Friday night, May 16th. Madison International Speedway is located on Sunrise Road just south of Highway 138 between Oregon and Stoughton.
